Hello October and the wonderful season of fall! Here are a few snapshots from around the house. As you can see we have been having Indian summer weather, hence the bare legs.
We are eagerly anticipating Halloween, but really, isn't any old day a good day to play dress up? This particular day had a cowboys-n-tutus theme.
This horse is not represented to scale.
A favorite activity of both girls is to remove every toy from the toy baskets and hide/play in them. This is also hours of fun to pick up, too.
This dog is to scale and does not at all mind being sat on....ahhhh.
We went to the zoo over the long and beautiful Canadian Thanksgiving weekend, and the merry-go-round was a favorite and naturally cost extra.
Harper's first trip to the zoo and merry-go-round ride - big day for her!
We had to ride it more than once - "mo ride" is what Harper kept repeating!
Finley liked the statues of the animals better than the real animals.
Two of our favorite real animals.
Some people needed a cat nap mid-zoo visit - but those people had to push the stroller and nativigate around the rather large zoo. It will not surprise anyone who knows Matt - but he ofcourse wore the wrong shoes, and surprisely I did, too!
Look, girls, the giraffes!
They rallied to sit on some more statues at the end of our visit.
Harper is taking a class called "Movers and Shakers" once a week with me. At the end of each class, after singing, dancing, and playing, we make a craft. This was a whole turkey apple to begin with, but quickly turned from craft to snack. In her defense, she wasn't the only kid in the class to eat her craft, but she was possibly the first. And, Matt doubts paternity?
Like I said earlier, we are really excited for Halloween. And, I know, every year I say that I am not going to buy another dog costume - but a pegasus/unicorn could not be passed up!
This look is known as the doggie death stare!!!
Side/close-up view of the costume.
"Girls, take me out of this now before I bite you!"
