Monty is NOT Happy -- the Pack is Gonna Grow

I'll spare everyone the details, but we just discovered that Shelley is now 13 weeks into another pregnancy. All is well and Shelley is tentatively due Nov. 23rd; since she now has a "history" of early deliveries (once), it is common for it to happen again. I will ensure I do not leave the metro area at least 6 weeks out. Pictures of Baby X below (nickname to come; we won't be finding out the gender again this time).

Given that Monty is still waiting for everyone else to leave so her life can return to normal -- meaning, she's the only child, this one will be rough for her. Send biscuits, attn: Montana, to the house.

Finley is Walking

Finley is now walking. She doesn't always go far - or do it that well - but she cannot be denied; they are steps by any definition. This video doesn't appear like she is walking, but watch to the end -- I'll try to get a video up that better reflects the fact she can walk all across the room.

Check it out.

Finley Sleeping

So my father noted that all we seem to post is pictures of Finley eating, which after a weekend here, he discovers she does often -- and with gusto. Babies mostly do two other things frequently, too, sleep and poop (not that he touched a diaper this weekend).

I went over to see Fin at lunch today and she was in the pose below when I got there -- knees tucked under, ankles crossed, and only one shoe and sock on. This picture is from just 30 minutes ago.
The picture below is from last week when she was home sick in her crib -- note the nearly exact positioning. She makes us laugh everyday.

Cinco de Mayo & Grandpa's Visit

Last week, Finley came down with another ear infection, which required us to keep her home from school on Tuesday, which happened to be Cinco de Mayo. As Mexican is one of Finley's favorite foods (we're not sure what are her least favorite, frankly), we went to Chipotle for lunch, as you'll see below. Her dish is the cheese quesadilla and a cup of the mild tomato salsa.

Before she dives in:
While she's eating -- notice the fork in her right hand; it is only for show.

We met up with our friend Mike Mercure that night down in the city. Finley wanted to pop her collar like all the cool kids do.

Grandpa Joel came into town Thursday -- his hair is not a side effect from any medicine, but rather an actual haircut. On Saturday we went to Noodles and Co., were Finley got the Mac and Cheese with grilled chicken, which her grandfather shamelessly picked out of her bowl.

On Saturday, Finley was preparing to cheer the Cubs on over the Brewers, as well as enjoy a break in the weather. No matter the temp., she LOVES to be outside. Alas, the weather got crummy again AND the Cubs blew the game. No, Mom, she still is not going to be a Cardinal's fan.

Random Pictures

Not much going on lately -- Finley is out of school today with another ear infection. She is going to walk any day now -- she stands a lot and is walking very fast when she has her hand on something. Just a couple of pictures from Sunday's bath and her nap today.
