Happy New Year or MLK Day or whatever!!!!

Winter finally comes to Canada!

Christmas presents arrived before, during, and after  - which the girls loved!

Jackie liked what Santa brought him, too!

Happy Birthday, Jackie - 9 years old on Jan. 1 - two old dogs napping!

But, not too old to party - Monty looks thrilled for the big New Year's Eve Celebration!

Good news for Monty and her parents - the celebration took place around 8:00 pm and involved Finley wearing her swimsuit over her jammies and a downloaded ball dropping on TV!

Harper, too, is feeling the summer vibe; she is wearing her swimsuit cover-up.

Pony also got into the spirit of the New Year after Finley and I decorated him with some of the confetti that was and is still on the floor.  I keep finding more each time I clean!  I think that he is just really happy to have lived another year after surviving Hurricane Irene!

Harper has been fighting a formal nap, so now she just naps when and whenever if at all.  This day she found a partner in crime - an animal who will nap when and wherever.

Thank you to everyone for all of the wonderful and generous gifts this year and for mailing them all the way to Canada!

Birthday and Christmas - yeah!

I am starting with Harper's 2nd Birthday!  She was a little under the weather but rallied to blow out her candle!  Thank you to everyone for all of the birthday gifts and good wishes and for the wonderful party at the new Happy Joe's in Burlington!  I meant to say "thank you" on the holiday cards but forgot - so think of this blog as a "thank you" card, too!  Also, we forgot the camera on our Thanksgiving trip to Iowa - but had a great time.

Harper and Finley like putting their babies/doggies in the baby bjorn.

A quick dog hug before ballet.

Spiky, post-bath pigtails - love it!

The girls like to pretend that it is summer...who can blame them.  Notice the new Dora jammies - thanks Aunt Stephie.

Aunt Sammie sent some new bows along with some delicious sponge candy for the holidays - love her!

Matt spent a good two hours putting together the big holiday gift  for the girls while Finley was at school.  Harper got a sneak peek but has not told her sister about it yet.

Yes - that really is Matt putting it together - and I helped/annoyed him a little, too.

The girls are obsessed with the tree and ornaments - we have only lost/broke a couple.

Merry Christmas to all and a Happy New Year!

XMAS PICTURE PREVIEW!

We survived Xmas pictures this past Saturday.  Within the first ten minutes of arrival, they were both in fake tear mode - but it passed quickly and miraculously, some good shots were taken!

Finley did not want to get on the horse with Harper - but that led to the best shot - naturally!

Finley picked out the sparkly bows from Wal-Mart, and even after several baths - they both still have hot pick sparkles in their scalps!
