SUMMER FUN

Hello all!  We have had a busy August, and summer continues to go strong in Canada!  School doesn't start until after Labor Day, and the girls won't start officially until late September.  Finley is going to Junior Kindergarten, and Harper will start Nursery school, too!  For approximately two and 1/2 hours every morning, I will be on my own.  Whatever will I do with myself???
Let's start with our big trip to the Heart of Dixie...  After two days in the mountains of West Virginia, NC, etc...we arrived in Roswell, GA to have lunch with Cousin Teddy.  Cousin Teddy welcomed a new little bro, Leo right before we got there.  But for some reason, I have not one picture of Leo, and I even held him!

It took Grandma Susie about the same amount of time to get there as us, but she did it!  Here she is reading the poems that she wrote for Harper and Finley!

We also got to meet and stay with our second newest cousin Maverick, too!  He is a giant baby compared to new Leo.

Cousin Teddy with his flower!

Ohhh, we met our newest four legged relative, Fluffy Scruffy, too!  I guess he is my doggie brother.

He liked to dance with Finley!

The girls wanted to make sure that Grandma Susie's bed was cozy enough, so they jumped right in!

The girls rocked out at Leo's bris (sp?) with Cousin Teddy who looked dapper in his bow tie and argyle socks!

Whose idea this was I do not know - but Teddy's cousin,
Violet was not afraid to join this crew!

After Georgia, we went to Nashville and got to see our second favorite beagle, Cousin Oliver.  Here, he is inspecting Baby Maverick upon his arrival.  A beagle always smells first...

smells a little more...

then proceeds to lick the feet down.  Hey, Montana likes to do this to Matt's face - just saying!

Is that a stuffed animal or a dog?  The girls had fun going to Petsmart and getting Fluffy an id tag!

Uncle Matt, Grandpa Steve, and Finley helped babyproof Aunt Sammie's.  Thank goodness Finley and Harper were both there to help - they watch a lot of Handy Manny!

See I am holding another baby!  Does it make me want another one?  No thanks!  We asked Finley if she wanted a baby brother and she said no thanks.  Then, we asked if she wanted a baby sister and she replied that she already had one and that one was enough - amen big sister.

We had to take the girls and Grandma Susie to the Opryland hotel.  Harper slept through some of it, but she rallied in time for the boat ride through the Delta.

One pretty girl...

two pretty girls...

and one tired girl!

And finally, the girls got new sleeping bags for the trip since let's face it, they will never go camping with Matt or myself.  And, it appears that the sleeping bags were hijacked by two older ladies and a little dog.  Good night!

Here are some more Disney pictures that I purchased....enjoy!

And for the grand finale, some more pictures from Julie's visit and from the marathon trip to Cleveland.

Dad and I at the game just hours after the marathon...I think we look pretty good, and we had great seats!
